NATIONAL CADET CORPS (NCC)


NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose. Needless to say, the NCC also provides an environment conducive to motivate young students to join the armed forces. The motto of NCC is UNITY and DISCIPLINE.


The NCC Unit (C Coy) of the college has been operating since 1988 under 4 Assam Bn NCC, Karimganj. Besides regular activities of the NCC inside the college, cadets are regularly participating in different camps held across the country like Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC), National Integration Camp (NIC), Basic Leadership Camp (BLC), Army Attachment Camp, Trekking Camp etc. There has been a good record of achievement of ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificate by the cadets. Apart from regular NCC activities, the NCC Unit of the college is also organising different programmes like Blood Donation Camps, Plantation Drives, Swachh Bharat Avhijan, Yoga, Disaster Management, Awareness Programmes on Cashless Transaction, Water Conservation, Health, Anti Dowry etc.
